Can I have something that is sold out be remade?


All of our pieces at The Vintage Studio are made from vintage fabrics and menswear clothing, therefore, we only upload singular products that we have made that month. Due to the individual nature of the original garments, we are unable to remake the exact same piece, however, we are able to produce the same design in a very similar colour way to your exact measurements. Contact us via the website if you'd like to request a remake of a certain piece.




Will pieces which are currently sold out come back in stock?


Most likely. Although each piece we sell is completely individual in it's brand and exact colour/original style, very similar pieces could come in stock in the future. If you are wanting the sold out piece for a particular occasion/date please feel free to contact us via the website and we can arrange a custom order for a similar design.




What does the 'Made To Order' process include?


We believe creating pieces made to order is a great way to cut down any waste and contribute to a more sustainable way to shop. When purchasing a made to order design we ask you to provide your usual dress size, bust, waist and hip measurements as well as your colour preference for the design. Once the purchase has been made, we will source a garment to be reworked which we think will best meet all of your requirements, we will then send you a photo of the original piece for your approval and move forward to rework it to your specific sizing straight after approval. The process can take between 1-2 weeks to source and rework and will be with you within 3-4 weeks of purchase.




Can I have a piece I have seen on Instagram made for me?


Absolutely. We pride ourselves on our personal service for our customers and have many people asking us to create a custom piece for them, either from their imagination or from a photo they have seen. We love creating custom orders for you and the process is similar to the made to order system. We ask for the design you would like us to produce, the colour and your measurements/usual sizing and configure back and forth with you during the sourcing and reworking process. Turn around time can be 2-4 weeks or if you have a date you need it by we will do our best to meet that. Can any sets available online be altered to my size?


We aim to do our best to be size inclusive through our custom process which includes requests from all sizes and also being able to alter many of our pieces to your measurements. If you see a set on the website that you love but it isn't your exact size please contact us via the website to talk about the potential of altering it which is a free service.




How long does delivery take?


We send all pieces within 1-2 working days of purchase (unless alterations have been requested.) We send UK packages via UPS next day delivery and international packages via UPS fast delivery, please bare in mind COVID delays.




Where is The Vintage Studio based?


We are based in York which is located in the North of England.




Will I have to pay custom charges as a result of BREXIT?


We love sending pieces to our lovely European customers. BREXIT has resulted in having to pay custom charges for UK deliveries, however, since learning about this we have minimised the declared value of each package to below cost value rather than retail price allowing our European customer's custom charges to be minimised as much as possible.
